GATE 2: FIELD TESTING

Gate 2 Testing is performed in the carrier's live market. Extensive call processing testing is performed with the mobile phone under test in parallel with a 'benchmark' mobile phone to determine call processing statistics. Statistics are collected and analyzed on over 4800 calls.

DRIVE TESTING

The NAC takes your concepts on the road by Drive Testing manufacturers' phones, data cards, other devices in South Florida - or in a specific carrier's defined market. We compare call processing performance, data throughput and received signal strength to a benchmark device, plotting the results on a map using GPS information.

FIRST ARTICLE INSPECTIONS

First Article Inspections (FAIs) involve examination of the 'in-box items' as the consumer would receive them. An FAI is used to test and evaluate a range of samples (usually 100) and identify any problems with the manufacturing and packaging process prior to receipt at a customer's warehouse.

RETURNS ANALYSIS

• NAC Returns Analysis Programs evaluate customer returns to determine 'no trouble found' rates in comparison to actual customer-affecting issues.
